What are the benefits of an NMC3 Support Contract?

According to the APC FAQ issued in May 2023, those benefits include the following:

 

The NMC3 Support Contract includes ongoing access to new features, feature enhancements and security updates.

 

The increased investment in the NMC3 platform will result in accelerated feature development and more frequent releases. We will also be adding proactive notifications mechanisms so that it’s easier to manage firmware updates and limit unknown vulnerable firmware versions that bring risk to the security and resiliency of IT infrastructure.

 

Here it is one year later and there has been only ONE firmware update (3.0.0.12) since this subscription plan was implemented.

 

I'm sitting here wondering, because I have an open case about an existing problem with the current firmware, just when that "accelerated development" is going to occur and when those "frequent releases" will be manifested.

 

I sold my clients on this "offering" and I'm now wondering whether anyone else is seeing any value.

We only purchase the extended hardware warranty on smaller units. Larger self standing 20 KVA and above a maintenance contract with extended hardware warranty.

 

All the rest like Cloud Connect, SNMC and NMC 3 Support Contract - Not on your life! 👎

And here it is, October 1, 2024 - nearly six months later - and the problem I reported about spurious email notifications from the NMC3 has still not been corrected, nor has any other firmware been issued.

 

Using EcoStruxure IT, I still can't compare configuration files among devices.

 

I noticed there was a LinkedIn AMA today, but was unable to attend and don't see any information about where I can view a replay.

 

So, I'm left believing that "promises of improvement" by SE for the APC products is not worth the subscription amount I'm paying, nor the fees my clients are paying me.
