Hi, I've started a new position where we have several of the devices that are all running 02.x firmware!
The official instructions say I can't use the upgrade wizard but I'm assuming from the way it's worded there is an alternate path? I've ordered an official APC serial cable in case I have to use terminal. I have what I believe to be a compatible firmware file (SMT20UPS_09-8.enc)
Am I correct that they are upgradeable? And if so what's the best way?

Hi Mango -
The highest level you would be able to update these units to is UPS 03.8. It is a manual process via serial and requires a couple incremental upgrades to get there. You would need to contact your local tech support team for assistance in doing that. Given the age of your units, I would probably not recommend upgrading them unless you are having problems you are trying to resolve.
Thanks
