There is a temprature sensor connected to my AP9619 NMC card and I am configuring the temperature thresholds. When configuring the APC Network Shutdown software I noticed there is a configuration I can set called "Environment:Temparature Probe 1 out of range". There is also a "Probe 2" version of this. Will the network shutdown software identify my temperature sensor as Probe 1?
The thresholds are defined as High to Max and Low to Min. If the temperature increases will the network shutdown software identify an "Out of Range" when it hits a High or Maximum threshold? Based on the answer this will determine the values I set for the thresholds.
Thanks for your help.

hi
yes, you only have one probe on the AP9619 so it should be probe 1. PCNS will initiate a shutdown based on ANY temperature violation (or out of range value). unfortunately, you cannot specify for it to do nothing on a high alert, and then shutdown on a maximum alert. if so, you'd have to disable the high alert completely on the NMC interface from alerting you.
hope that helps.
