Smart UPS 3000RM:set request failed

Greetings,

we have a smart ups 3000 RM. It seems it has a problem to execute the command to run a self test.
Message:The set request failed. Please try again.
A restart of the APC-services is useless.
Only after a reconnect of the usb-cable to the same usb-port, we are able to start the self-test, but 1-2 days later there is the same problem.

Any ideas, how to solve this permanently ?

what software are you using to do this? it sounds like you are using powerchute business edition? please let us know the version under Help->About if you see that option or give us a screenshot of what you're looking at.

it may be beneficial to eventually reboot the UPS which we can look into after you give us a few more details so I would not do that yet.
