SU2200RM3U Dead

Hello All,

I have found two 2200 that are 10 years old (that should say enough). They both have had their batteries replaced once, but have been sitting so long I can not get a charge of more than 5 volts into them.

My question tho is, one of the 2200s will lock in its voltage regulator and display the sensitivity light as soon as it is plugged into utility power. The second does nothing. The circuit breaker is not tripped on the unit. I have switched outlets between them and the same unit is still dead. I am doing this without any of the batteries connected.

So, before I look at replacement batteries for two 2200s, do I truely have a dead one and should look at possible trading up?

TIA

JonPro,

The "dead" unit does nothing when I press the sensitivity button. Again, when it is plugged into utility power, the static switch(?) or voltage regulator (?) (not sure what produces the first 'click' when utility power is provided to the unit) does not kick in.

If there is not anything else to check, then off I go to make a recommendation.

Have a gr8 and safe 4.
