The lights on front of the Smart-UPS indicate a fully charged battery but when power is removed all devcies (2 switches, 2 modems, and a firewall) plugged into the UPS lose power. There are no lights or alarms when power is lost. Is this a simple battery replacement or another issue?
Thanks,
zp.

Zach,
When power is lost to the UPS, do you see the "On Battery" indicator light up amber on the UPS? What is the model number and serial of the unit? When was the last time you replaced the battery and is it a genuine APC battery?

Hi, thanks.
No lights at all, no audible alarm (I'm not sure whether this model gives an audible alarm or not).
- APC Smart-UPS 2200 (SU2200BX120)
- S/N: XS0440002531
I can't say when the battery was replaced or if it's genuine or not - I've only been with this company for a few months now.
Thanks!

With no lights or audible alarms given, it sounds as thought the UPS is turning off when power is lost to the unit. This could be a symptom of a bad battery, however I would investigate when the last time the battery was replaced. This unit is about 10 years old based on the serial number, so I would consider replacing the unit instead of just the battery since we do not know if it is a battery issue (again, if you were able to figure out how old the battery is or measure the voltage from it, it would give us more insight if its a battery or unit issue).
