Hi,
I noticed a few other things related to the menu apart from the missing switchgear option. Do you know what firmware is running on the system (both on the UPS Intelligence Module and on the Network Card)? Have you configured the network card and are you able to access it remotely?

Hi Ashfaq,
>
MDS: Communication Lost With Metering Board \[7..12\]
MDS: Communication Lost With Metering Board \[1..6\]
>
Those alarms indicate that the UPS thinks it's configured to use APC's power distribution but cannot communicate with it. This will not affect the operation of the UPS.
>
As we know there is no metering and no power distribution units in this model.
>
Okay, if it doesn't come with APC's power distribution, then it's probably just configured incorrectly. You should contact APC phone tech support to make sure it's set up right. For this particular issue, you can change the power distribution configuration on the PowerView display under Switchgear->Factory to either "Other" or "None" so that it doesn't look for APC power distribution.

Hi There.
I have the same exact problem.
Running a single row of batteries.
My problem is there is no switchgear option on the menu. It's missing alot of options if I compare it to the manual. This was a unit bought pre used. Was switched off 2 years ago and not touched since from what I been told.
You assistance would be greatly appreciated
In my case it's looking for 3x switch gears it can't find as they don't exist.
- Communication Lost With Metering Board[1..6]
- Communication Lost With Metering Board[7..12]
- Communication Lost With Metering Board[13..18]
- My unit is a sym px 48kw with 3 power modules.
- It does find my 6 power modules from 19 to 24. Those are the one on top of the units.
- Only have 4 rows of batteries (all batteries were day, all 16 modules. I did a battery replace on 4 of the modules, so running it with only the 4 battery packs, not all 16 at this stage)

Correcting mistake.
6 x power boxes on top.
3x power modules.
1 row of batteries with 4 units.
Apologies don't know how to edit post.

Maybe too late but I got the solution to this problem which seems to be the same as the OP.
My UPS stood completely dead for over 2 years.
What it took to make it work again was a firmware flash. Once I did that, it remembered what it was and all correct options were available.
