Hey Guys,
Any ideas as to why a SU3000RM3U wouldn't charge above 85%? Charge level was measured by AP9617/Powerchute and the lights on the front.
- Changed the batteries 3 times, new set everytime from different manufacturer
- attempted full discharge several times
The unit will not charge above 85%
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well if you already swapped in spare batts and fully discharged them... You could try to braindead the UPS to reset it (unplug from the wall, turn it off, press & hold the off button about 5-6 seconds). Kinda weird that the NMC is stuck at 85% though. On these units, I think it normally shows full voltage & charge on batts even when there aren't any connected...

Hey Buzz,
Thanks for the reply. Resetting the unit like that can reset the eprom to charge properly?

Sorry for the late response. I wouldn't say it changes any of the EEPROM values exactly but it essentially "reboots" the unit, which has been known to fix weird flaky issues like this in the past. It's worth a shot at any rate.
