SMX3000 Internal fault message
This is a follow-up of a post that I started several months ago (same title) requesting any experience with this excellent UPS having an "internal fault" message on the LCD screen, yet the unit worked fine in all respects being controlled through the NMC2 card. Recently, after removing the NMC's "cage" to gain access to the microprocessor area and doing a little "probing", it was necessary to re-install the NMC to test a new router/D-Link repeater set up. Upon startup of the UPS, the LCD screen now works as originally intended with full menu control.
If anyone has had any type of similar experience with the SMX line, please post a reply.
P.S. "probing" is not recommended by the manufacturers and is done at your own peril of damage to equipment and yourself!
