Even though technical documentation for Smart-UPS SC 420I (European model) states that "Output voltage is User-adjustable through PowerChute, 208 - 253 VAC"), when I log in to PowerChute, in the Output Voltage drop-down menu I only have 230V option!
I live in a country where norm is 220V. In case of power outage, UPS switches from the (normal) 220V to 230V, which causes some problems to my equipment.
How to set the output voltage to be the same as nominal voltage? I have only installed AGENT, and I log in through web interface. I do have a smart-signalling serial cable. Do I need to install some other piece of software?! It certainly doesn't appear so. I've searched this forum and didn't find any resources that are mentioning how to solve this issue.
Configuration:
- PowerChute Business Edition v9.1.1 for Windows (AGENT, Web interface)
- Windows 7 64-bit
- Smart-signalling serial cable
Thank you!

Hi Angela,
Thanks for replying!
Yes, I did find different information - in this guide, http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z8L9D/ASTE-6Z8L9D_R0_EN.pdf
in the specification section (page 3, table "Specifications", it says:
Output voltage*: 208 - 253 VAC
* User-adjustable through PowerChute® (see software documentation)
FURTHERMORE, I also posed this question to technical support and I got this answer - but the suggested solution does not work as described:
The Output Voltage setting refers to the voltage during battery operation. If you switch the UPS on battery (remove the inout cable), the greyed out Output Voltage setting will become adjustable and you can set it to 220V.
What happens is, that after I force the battery operation (disconnect the mains power for the UPS), this setting still can't be changed: regardless of mains power present/not present, there IS a drop down menu - but the only option available is always 230V (please see attached screenshot).
What I would like to know is which information is wrong here: the output voltage either can, or cannot be controlled/user-adjustable. If it can be controlled, maybe the software that I'm using is (for some reason/error in code?) not permitting me to do it.
Thanks for your kind help!

Hello,
I looked at the user's guide here: http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/ASTE-6Z8LTZ/ASTE-6Z8LTZ_R2_EN.pdf
What I see there is that you can adjust the high and low transfer points (for when the UPS will transfer to battery if the input voltage goes outside of those transfer ranges) which the widest range is 208-253VAC - but I don't see the reference you're talking about regarding changing the nominal output voltage.
Did you find a different guide?
