Older SC1500 Serial port setup questions
Hello, I have had an older APC SC1500 rack mounted unit for a couple of years. I've never used any of the smart options. I've decided I'd give it a try. There is a lot of conflicting posts about which cable to use and the best way to connect to its interface since these units do not support network management cards. I just want clarification before I spend some money, if I pickup a APC AP9833 940-0272A serial to usb smart signaling cable, I should be able to use Powerchute business client to connect to the UPS correct? This UPS only has the serial port in the back no USB port.
