I purchased a BK500BLK unit with the intention of using it on my new build. I'm using Vista and didn't realize that Powerchute only goes up to XP
Am I out of luck?
Thanks
Mark

I would set up your power connections to your equipment first, connect the communication cable, and then install the software on your PC.

APC has a Windows Vista edition of powerchute personal edition it is just that it is not shipping on the discs that come with the units yet.
you can download powerchute personal edition 2.1.1 for vista here:
ftp://ftp.apc.com/apc/public/software/windows/vista/pcpe/211/PowerChutePersonalEdition.exe
if you installed the XP version already, try uninstalling it via the control panel and see if you can install the vista version. if that doesnt work, let us know and we can show you how to manually remove it if need be.
