Hello, we have a new Smart-UPS SRT 2200 installed. The Home screen is reporting a Critical Alarm - Battery pack 1, cartridge 2 is not installed."
The Battery System Status screen says "Battery Pack 1 - Health OK, Status Critical".

Hi Brannen,
The battery voltage looks ok, but I would expect the state of charge to be higher (if the unit was connected to AC input previously, and unless there were self tests, run time calibrations, or run time tests with no AC performed before capturing the status). Run time calibration can only be performed at 100% battery charge, this is the reason why the unit refused the calibration. The Battery Replacement Date seems offset as well.
The external battery pack has two internal battery modules, counted as Battery Pack 1, Cartridge 1 and Cartridge 2.
At this stage, it would be best to contact your local APC Tech Support for further troubleshooting - including a UPS firmware upgrade, considering the unusual Battery Replacement Date.

Hi Brannen,
SRT UPS models require some amount of load for battery recognition to work properly - can you try to clear the alarm, connect at least 400W load, then perform a self-test?
If your usual load is, or exceeds 400W, then the next thing I can think of is that the Battery Install Dates may not be set appropriately. The installation dates can be set manually on the UPS display interface in Configuration Menu - Battery - Install Date menu.

Dear Szabi,
How can I change the date, after the installation and commissioning of the equipment? We did the test with the given instruction, but it does not allow me to change the date. Will there be a special way or condition to save the changes?
Regards,

Hi Carlos,
Active battery related alerts may prevent saving changes made to the Battery Install Date. Clearing the alert on the UPS display interface should restore the unit to normal operation, at least for a while. Once there are no active alerts (the display interface is blue rather than amber or red) you should be able to save changes made to Battery Install Date. Let me know how it goes.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm trying to change the date.
Before I change, this is what's shown on UPS status, on a brand new battery:

I'm remote from the device. Can I change it through the webpage? I don't see where.
I was able to run a self test.
However I'm not able to calibrate:
Calibration | Refused | 09/13/2018 | management device |
state of charge not acceptable |
I found where to change the battery date, and I did for Battery Cartridge 1. But It's not letting me change the installation date for Battery Cartridge 2, it says it's disconnected.
What is cartridge 2? The external battery pack?
Battery system status shows: internal pack, health ok, status ok.
Battery pack 1, health ok, status critical.
Thanks.
