Repetitive Whine

Just picked-up Back-UPS PRO BN1100M2.

Is a faint, repetitive whine typical? I didnʻt notice it when I first started to use it last month, but now I hear it. It just whines, and repeats - like all the time. It just whines every 3 seconds, you can hear it winding up or winding down, whatever it is - but it NEVER stops. Doesnʻt seem to matter if thereʻs a load or not, it even happens when there is nothing plugged into.

Any insight would be helpful.

Sorry for the inconvenience. The UPS should not whine. Please contact local support at 800-555-2725 Option 2 and they will be happy to assist you. You will need to be with the unit as they may ask you do perform a few troubleshooting steps. If the unit is deemed to be defective they will send you a replacement.
