NMC AP9630 reconfiguration

NMC  AP9630 in SMX1500RM2UNCQ. Took in as trade, accessed briefly via https but with protest (Firefox), was booted from web Ui while changing name, contact, etc. from previous owner. Now cannot access web interface on http or https - can communicate via SSH.

Question I have is will a factory reset cause new certificate generation (which is what all web browsers seem to be complaining about), or do I have to use the format command and reset? Will format put me back at initial installation stage (which is what I want at this point)?

Obviously I would rather use the web Ui as it is easier and faster so what must I do to get access via web Ui restored?

I can provide UPS serial if requested - I do not have the serial cable as yet, but one is on the way so eventually I can go that route if needed.

Hello @Papabull58,

To start with, kindly provide the LED status of the network management card for us to know in what state it is currently on.

Since you have just acquired the UPS/NMC, I would start by doing a firmware upgrade and then the factory reset.  I have provided the FAQ's below to assist you with the process as well as the link where to find the latest firmware for the NMC.

  • FA293874 - Using Network Management Card 2 (NMC2) bootmonitor to recover/upgrade firmware
  • FA156047 - Video: How do I upgrade the firmware on an APC Network Management Card (NMC) or NMC embed...
  • SFSUMX704 - UPS Network Management Card v7.0.4 Firmware for Smart-UPS & Galaxy 3500 with AP9630/31/3...

I hope this helps.
