Hi,
Ive tried to work this out as much as possible but seems to be way way too much information online. I have 5 Smart UPS's all with network managment cards (9630 and 9631) all connected to the network. I also have about 10 swtiched rack PDUS (7920 and 7921) all connected to the same network.
If i download and install Powerchute Network shutdown, am i right in saying I can monitor all 5 UPS's (and any attached sensors to the 9631) from one place (e.g if i install it on a windows server, then access it via a web gui)? Am i able to also control the multiple PDUs? or is there a solution to also controlling these in one convenient place?
Thanks for any help and sorry if this is basic stuff! (this is my first time)

The "AP94VMTRL" SKU also is available - it is a trial VM of the DCE appliance and allows you to monitor 5 nodes for free so you could test it out with 5 nodes if you can run/deploy a virtual machine.

Sunny,
You can monitor each from their web UIs but you must log into each individually. To monitor multiple systems from a central UI you will need StruxureWare Data Center Expert.
StruxureWare is a vendor-neutral, scalable monitoring software which collects, organizes, and distributes critical alerts, and key information, providing a complete view of physical infrastructure environments from anywhere on the network.

Hi Bill,
thanks for your reply! Is this something that is even accessible to a "home" type user and how? The switched rack PDU's are part of 1 large home automation system so being able to control all the PDU outlets from one place would be ideal if possible.

Sunny,
Yes it can be used by a home user but it may be overkill. The basic version (AP8465) allow for the monitoring of 525 nodes or you can run AP94VMACT that will monitor 325 nodes. The AP94VMACT requires a VMware host server.
