Matrix with AP9606 - Error - UPS Not Supported by this application

We've replaced our Matrix 5000 (original died) and moved our AP9606 to the new Matrix. When we try to access the Matrix through the SNMP Interface we get an error "A UPS was found that is not supported by this application. Check the CD-ROM for the correct APP or contact technical support". The original Matrix's firmware was 5Z1, replacement Matrix is 3Z. Does anyone know what the issue might be? Does the firmware on the AP9606 need to be updaded? Last update was 2008. Does the Matrix need a firmware update? Thanks for any help!

On your AP9606, under Help->About system, can you let me know what you see for AOS and app versions? The letter Z in the firmware is supposed to indicate the Matrix supports this accessory.

Can you verify you did not connect any serial cable to the Matrix? Another thing we may want to do is reseat the EU now that the AP9606 is installed assuming no serial cable was connected.

App v3.2.6

There are no cables connected to the Matrix.

We have not done an EU reseat yet.

Should we go ahead with the reseat?

Is there any firmware changes that may be required?

Hi again,

What is the app name - do you see it sy or sumx for the module name? If I know that, I can tell if there is potentially an issue with the NMC firmware. I don't think there is anything wrong with the Matrix firmware since it is still Z and plus it cannot be modified anyway.

I'd go ahead with the EU reseat only after we confirm the module name for the APP you referenced to avoid wasting time with that.
