Hello. With HP OpenView NNMi 9.2 I discovered an APC 1500 UPS with an NMC1 and it was discovered a shaving system object ID 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.3.2.7. If I do an snmp walk on the device prior to discovery its also found as 1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.3.2.7. When I look in the MIB file 4.1.0 i see smartUPS450 OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= {smartUPS 7}
smartUPS1500 OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= {smartUPS 16}
Is there a way in the GUI or through ftp to the NMC to verify that the system object ID is correct on the device itself?

This issue has been around for a while and is a problem with the UPS itself (with older SU and SUA model prefixes), which unfortunately is not firmware upgradeable. The UPS reports itself wrong to the integrated Network Management Card and the sysObjectID will be wrong.
To get an accurate understanding of the UPS model, I'd suggest using something in the PowerNet MIB -> .1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.1.1.1 (upsBasicIdentModel). But, there will be no way to change what it discovers as for the sysObjectID unfortunately.
For newer UPS models with the model prefix SMX, SMT, SURTD, and anything newer, the UPS can report it's SKU with an AP9630/31 and v6.0.6 firmware or higher using upsAdvIdentSkuNumber (.1.3.6.1.4.1.318.1.1.1.1.2.5) but they should also discover properly under sysObjectID. The newer UPS models show as smartUPS2.
