Hello,
we had a power failure last week on our Smart UPS RT 3000 XL.
We bought it on March 14 2013 (with network card AP9630).
We have a low runtime remaining of 28min 17sec.
Here are the other value given :
UPS Input | |||
Input Voltage: | 219.5 VAC | @ 50.0 Hz
UPS Output | |||
Output Voltage: | 230.0 VAC | @ 50.0 Hz
Load Current: | 4.4 Amps | ||
Output VA: | 33.8 % | ||
Output Watts: | 44.6 % | ||
Battery Status | |||
State of Charge: | 100.0 %
Battery Voltage: | 218.3 VDC
Num of External Batteries: | 0 |
I am not sure to change the battery or not ?
Is there an other problem ?
Could someone help me ?
Thanks
Laurent.

michael,
Here is the screen shot of the APC :
Can you see runtime remaining and the "Last Battery Transfer" status ?
Do you think it's normal ?
Thanks.
Laurent.

Hi,
Where are you seeing the error? On the NMC or in PowerChute and if PoewrChute what version? Can you provide the event log/s for each if using PowerChute and what is low battery threshold set for on the NMC?

Laurent,
After looking over your event log, I do not see any low runtime warnings. I see a couple instances where the unit went on battery due to distorted input but that is normal and the unit transferred back off of battery once the input power returned to normal. Overall the unit seems to be in good health. Is there a particular date and time when you saw this?

Hi Laurent,
Regarding the "Last Battery Transfer" status, I get the identical message when I pull the plug on the UPS to simulate a real power outtage.
To me, with your UPS loaded to about 40% or so, I think your "run time remaining" indication is reasonable.

I Agree With Joe. The runtime is right in the expected range for the amount of load you have attached to the unit. If you would like more runtime you can added additional battery packs.

You can buy external batteries to increase the runtime.
