We are getting an error on our dla3000rm2u "failed internal test". This is coming throug the snmp management card. We've tried to brain dead, reset, different batteries, the fault doesn't clear. Any idea what this could be?

Hi MarkGinger
An internal test usually refers to the UPS self test which would mean the battery needs replacing. If you want to provide the specific log from the device, we can verify that further. If you did try different, known good batteries already, you'll need to issue another self test command to clear that failed test.

We're going to try with a new set of batteries we just received, I will report the log once we do the rest! Any specific reset procedures or just the usual?

Nope - you can hot swap the batteries in there and then if it were me and verify the UPS clears the battery disconnect indicator (flashing replace battery LED) after you swap in those new ones. I also would probably just give it some time to charge up if you can to avoid false self test failed messages as I don't know how long these new batteries had been in storage or sitting on a vendor's shelf. After you give it let's say 4-8 hours, run the self test.
One thing I actually forgot with this UPS - while this was reported in the management card, what indicators did you have on the front of the UPS? Solid replace battery LED?
