Hello,
I am currently working for a company that is equipped with a RED HAT 5 server, that is used to run a custom software.
I wanna buy for them an APC UPS, that will be used to shut down this server, + a server under windows 2012.
I will use an SNMP card with the UPS.
It sounds like PowerChuteTM Business Edition is not compatible with RED HAT 5. I do not master RED HAT at all.
How can I shut down automatically a RED HAT 5 server with an SNMP APC UPS ?
Thanks a lot!.
Best regards,

Hi,
With a SMT1500RMi2U you will need to purchase a network management card. We offer AP9630 or AP9631 if you require environmental monitoring. Once the card is configured you have the option of installing PowerChute Network Shutdown version 4.2 that is compatible with Redhat Enterprise Linux version 5.10 and 5.11 See the PowerChute Network Shutdown Installation Guide and PowerChute Network Shutdown User's Guide.
Or you can install APCUPSD and configure for PCNET. See the APCUPSD User's Guide for more information on installing for PCNET http://www.apcupsd.org/manual/manual.html#powerchute-network-shutdown-driver-pcnet
