How to calibrate run time on a 2200 XL with addl battery pack?

Hello!

I have a 2200 XL, and just added an expansion battery chassis.

Is it just "plug and play" or need I do something else?


I read somewhere that the runtime needs to be recalibrated.... but no idea how to do that!

APC Smart UPS SU & SUA series UPSs will not recognize the attached External Battery Pack automatically. You need to tell the UPS that you attached the battery packs in order for it recognize. Do you have the Power Chute software or Network Management Card installed into the UPS smart slot? If so, you can add the External Battery Pack counts in the Power Chute or NMC. You can also add the external battery packs counts through Hyper Terminal via the Serial cable that came with the UPS.

If possible, could you please let me know the exact Model number of the UPS and External Battery Packs so that I can provide you the instructions to add the external battery pack count? You can find these details on a white bar code sticker at the rear of the unit.

I have been able to configure the NMS with the external battery count of 1...

So this is covered.

Any calibration needed, or am I done?
