Hello All
Maybe someone could help me with NMC AP9631, but I'm trying to upgrade firmware for this card a few days and also facing issue about FTP Log-in failed.
We have Symmetra lx and NMC AP9631, I have installed it to the UPS, set manually all needed network configuration, and then after long reading, all manuals that I founded, tried to finally upgrade this NMC.
So I downloaded Firmware Upgrade Utility, type the IP address, then check ping, ping successful. Click on Upgrade Now and then after a few tests, it shows me that FTP Log-in failed. But that log-in and password I'm using to enter on the web interface (GUI) or via SSH or telnet, on all other services my administrator credentials maths until FTP. Whatever Log-in and password I choose, no one fits.
Please, could someone help me with it?
It's my first time when I'm trying to upgrade such equipment.

Hi Szabi,
I have read the Manual that you recommend me, also tried to do that was on the manual and I have again stuck at FTP log-in moment.
I'm trying to Log-in to FTP, typing my Log-in and password and again shows me incorrect credentials. Tried via Total Commander connect to FTP and via adding a network location.

Hi Mikhail,
FTP access might be disabled on the NMC, depending on the NMC current FW revision, you can verify this in:
1. FW 5.x: Administration > Network > FTP Server > Access can be enabled / disabled here
2. FW 6.x: Configuration > Network > FTP Server > Access can be enabled / disabled here
The same password that you use to log into the NMC web GUI will work for the firmware upgrade utility.

Thank you for your answer!
Actually, I already check FTP and it's enabled. For sure I just reboot FTP via Telnet and tried again to upgrade firmware, and it doesn't help.
Same issue I.

Hi Mikhail,
You can also try the manual upgrade process to manually FTP the three firmware files onto the card using command prompt. The guide is available in this Kbase article under Manual (via FTP) section.
The 3 required firmware files for an AP9631 installed in a Symmetra LX can be found in the folder where the firmware upgrade utility self-extracted itself, and are:
1. apc_hw05_bootmon_108.bin
2. apc_hw05_aos_672.bin
3. apc_hw05_sy_672.bin
