Hi,
I have 3 APC devices (AP9619 x2 and AP7952 x1) that have network connections to them however for some reason on automatic negotiation they will only ever connect at 10 half duplex or 100 half duplex. I cannot get them to connect at 100 full duplex. They are connected to a Cisco 3560G switch which have auto negotiation enabled also. Forcing negotiation of 100 full duplex on the APC devices results in the same either 10 half duplex or 100 full duplex. Forcing a set negotation on the switch sides results in no link
I have the latest firmware on all devices. AP9619 are hardware revision A10 and the AP7952 is hardware revision B2.
Thanks.

I have run into the same issue typically with the ATS units vs. the UPS units NICs. From my experience the issue is based upon the integrated ATS NIC only being capable of 10/100 vs 10/100/1000. Due to this, the interface you are connecting to on new Gig interfaces will connect at half duplex under the auto/auto configuration on the switch. In order to resolve and connect, change the switch interface from auto/auto to 100/full and you should be good to go.

I have a number of AP9617/8/9 devices on Cisco switches and haven't seen this. When changing the speed / duplex setting on the card, sometimes a reboot is needed. I'd suggest unplugging the network cable from the APC device and plugging it into a notebook PC or similar. That would elimitate cabling or switch ports as an issue.
Is the Cisco switch proving Power Over Ethernet (POE)? Those are normally the models wth a "P" in the model name. If so, I suppose that could confuse the older NMC hardware.

I have also only seen issues in isolated cases, and the only more common thing I have seen is issues with Nexus Cisco stuff. Typically forcing it to 100 on each side in that instance works properly. Here are some notes I jotted down based on previous experience.
On the network switch port side, force just speed with no duplex specification. Connect the NMC into another NIC (like a laptop or similar) so it resolves 100-Full at least once. Once it has resolved to 100-Full, transfer the connection to the network switch, where they will remain at 100-Full until their network connection resets (on either side).
I am curious to know if this problem just developed or if your switch is new or what triggered this to start happening.

The method that you suggested ended up putting the NMC into 10 FD. I managed to get it to work by setting the switch ports to auto duplex and 100 speed (note NOT 100 auto, justs 100). The NMC was set to auto negotiate. After warm booting the NMCs, they have now come up at 100 FD. Any other configuration results in either a mix of a 10 connection or a HD connection on the NMC side.
