BX1300LCD vs. SUA product line
Somewhere in this forum I recently saw a response (from Notorious K...) that the BX1300LCD is not appropriate for a server while an SUA model UPS would be appropriate. One statement was that you do not want a Back-UPS running as your UPS of choice for a Server.
The reply seemed to indicate some potential incompatabilties with the Back-UPS product line and the Server. Are these hardware or software issues?
Can I get a further explanation on this? I recommend APC UPS equipment to my customers.

Tim,
White paper #1 I believe, on UPS topologies, will let you know everything you need to know on why that'ts so. The primary reason is the output sine wave while on battery. On a Back-UPS, it's step-approximated, and therefore is not a pure sine wave as most servers like to see. Chances are the server will reboot if it sees a step-approximated sine wave as opposed to the pure sine wave while on battery.
Obviously we don't want this, and you don't want that for your customer.
