I recently changed the batteries to rocket 40ah 12v X2 but the backup time on one single computer is 15 minutes.
When i changed there was battery constant problem and lights would flash. so i hyperterminaled it and used the apc fix software which basically resets the battery constant value.
the flashing light problem is gone but the battery backup is too low now. it does charge to 100%. and the batteries when ups runs out are nearing to 12.2 or even 12 volts.
i also then put a network card which shows this this ups as sua 1000 xl and i tried increasing the number of batteries to 12 and it shows that more time is left but shuts down in the end showing no time left.
Now if anyone could tell me what exactly the default parameters to be set are.
I have wire and i have serial port . i can hyper terminal and i can change the values.
what should be the battery dying voltage. if i set the output to 230 volts.
How do i set the battery charging current or check it...
i have these external batteries only no internal.
Thanks

Hi Bo,
This is what I was able to retrieve on this particular unit:
http://www.apcmedia.com/salestools/JGNY-8P39GG/JGNY-8P39GG_R0_EN.pdf?sdirect=true
Page 4 gives specifications on the batteries to be used with this model. Both batteries should measure 27-28VDC if connected in series and fully charged.
Unfortunately procedures and measurements from the U.S. units do not carry over as there are differences in unit builds, and this unit is not offered in the United States. Beyond this link, I may assist in guiding you to customer support in your region if you would like to provide me your location.
Regards,
