Overview of this year's new IT Expert feature releases and enhancements:

 

New features - September 2026

 

New timeline view

 

Alarm history and UPS downtime assessment now include a timeline view, providing a more visual way to see information in a selected time period.

  • Alarm history timeline: Visualize alarms by severity or category.

  • UPS downtime assessment timeline: Visualize downtime and power protection occurrences by type or cause.

The timeline view includes interactive controls that allow you to zoom in, zoom out, focus on a specific time period, and view details for individual alarms or occurrences.

Saved discoveries can now be scheduled

 

In Device discovery, you can now schedule saved discoveries to run automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. This helps streamline the process of identifying new devices without requiring manual discovery reruns.

To configure a recurring schedule, turn on Enable recurring schedule when creating a new discovery or editing an existing saved discovery.

New features - July 2026

 

Power page

 

The new power page provides a centralized view of your power devices and their measurements.

Use it to understand how power is being consumed through key metrics, identify potential capacity risks, and monitor the bank load balance of your power devices.

Equipment Refresh assessment

 

The new Equipment Refresh assessment identifies aging UPS devices and batteries and recommends replacement models with estimated costs, allowing you to plan and budget in one place.

 

The PDF report provides recommended replacement devices, estimated Schneider List Price, and total replacement costs. 

 

Find it under Reports > Assessments, on the Equipment Refresh card.

UPS Assessment tab

 

The new UPS Assessment tab provides a dedicated view of UPS assessment insights and score factors for an individual UPS, improving navigation between assessment-level and device-level views.

The tab brings score details, significant changes, battery wear information, and alarms together in a single location. 

 

You can access it by navigating to:

 

  • Reports > UPS Score and clicking a device name in the table.
  • Devices page, opening a UPS device, and selecting the UPS Assessment tab.

New features - May 2026

 

Sensor Anomalies assessment

 

The assessment analyzes UPS temperature data and identifies unusual fluctuations. It continuously monitors temperature patterns and flags anomalies that may indicate potential issues or risks.

 

Sensor Anomalies is currently an experimental feature. This means that we are actively gathering customer feedback, and the feature may change over time or be integrated into existing functionalities.


To access the feature, go to Reports > Assessments > Sensor Anomalies.

New features - April 2026

 

UPS Score assessment updated

 

3-phase UPSs with Li‑ion batteries are now included in the UPS Score assessment. UPS models that do not provide battery statistics are excluded.

Audit log updated

 

Audit log messages now include device, sensor, and outlet information when users trigger device control operations, such as outlet or rack access control.

 

To access the feature, go to Administration> More > Audit log.

 

3D Floor layout in EcoStruxure IT mobile app

 

You can now visualize room layouts in 3D and see temperatures and alarms associated with each rack using the EcoStruxure IT mobile app.

Announcement

 

Device configuration feature requires Gateway 2.x or newer

April 2026

 

As of April 6, 2026, the Device configuration feature will not be available unless all the Gateways in your organization are updated to version 2.0 or newer including any Gateways that are offline.

 

The latest version of EcoStruxure IT Gateway is 2.1.1.

 

Installing Gateway 2.1.1 on Windows

 

In June 2025, Microsoft introduced a new certificate signing authority in Windows operating system updates. This certificate must be installed on your Windows computer to install EcoStruxure IT Gateway 2.1.1.

New features - March 2026

 

AI Insight Expert

 

Introducing the new AI-enhanced assistant: AI Insight Expert! Now available for both IT Expert and EcoStruxure IT Mobile App.

 

To access the feature, click AI Insight Expert logo in the top-right corner.

 

You can ask about data centers and related topics, such as:

 

  • Device counts, types, or lists in specific locations.
  • Open alarms or incidents.
  • Temperature measurements.
  • Help Center articles.
  • For location-specific queries, mention the site, room, or rack name. 

 

AI Insight Expert uses tools to fetch real‑time data from your EcoStruxure IT setup, limited to the data the user is permitted to access within their organization.

Webhooks now have predefined message converters

 

You can now use a predefined message converter to successfully relay webhook information to Slack, Webex, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. 

To access the feature, go to Administration > More > Webhooks.

New workflow for Device discovery

 

All discoveries are now saved as a set of inputs, and can be run on demand from their saved record.

State sensor policy updated

 

You now have All other states option in the state sensor policy creation. This allows you to create policies with a default behavior.

Discover what you can do with custom metrics

 

After creating a custom metric, you can create a new threshold policy, sensor plot, or another custom metric based on the custom metric you just created.

CUE and CEF metrics in the Sustainability assessment

 

The Sustainability assessment now includes Carbon Emission Factor (CEF) and Carbon Usage Effectiveness (CUE) metrics, providing deeper insight into your data center’s carbon footprint and empowering you to make smarter, more sustainable operational decisions.

To access the feature, go to Reports > Assessments > Sustainability assessment.

New Connections tab in device details

The Devices page and the new Connection tab on the device details page help you understand and troubleshoot connectivity issues between EcoStruxure IT and the Gateway or between the Gateway and the device.

 

See whether the Gateway and the device are currently online or offline, the time of the last connection and the connected Gateway’s name, the connection ratio over the last six months, and a graph of the device's connection history.

 

EcoStruxure IT Gateway 1.23 or newer is required.

New features - January 2026

 

Custom service contracts

 

IT Expert Administrators and Operators with appropriate permissions can now manually create custom service contracts for third party devices that are not managed by Schneider Electric.

 

Go to  Services & Warranties > Contracts. You can see contracts relating to assets you have access to. To manage contracts (create, update, or delete), users need at least the Operator role on the assets associated with the contract.

Alarms tab for devices

 

Devices now have a dedicated Alarms tab, which includes a list of all alarms and an AI-generated summary of alarms from the past three months.
 
The mute alarm and export alarms to CSV options were moved from the Overview tab to the new Alarms tab. You need to be at least an Editor to mute alarms.

Admins can now manually clear alarms

UPS Score assessment update

 

In Reports > Assessments, the UPS Score assessment has been updated to include Insights about the conditions your UPS devices. In addition UPS Score details have now Hardware refresh recommendations. A new PDF report can be downloaded from the UPS Assessment page.

Analyze Alarms

 

The Analyze tab on the alarm details page displays alarms on a timeline to help you determine whether there is any correlation with other alarms or devices.

 

Click an alarm on a Dashboard, on the Alarms page, or in the list of alarms on the device details page, and then click Analyze.  User need at least an Editor role to manage the location hierarchy.

Custom metrics

 

Create custom metrics on the new Reports > Custom metrics tab. Combine and calculate sensor data to trigger alarms. You need to be at least an Editor to create custom metrics.

NetBotz rack access control

 

IT Expert Administrator users can control rack access on monitored NetBotz 250/250A and 750/755 appliances in ITE from the Control option of the device details page, and in the EcoStruxure IT mobile app.

 

  • Rack access control control for NetBotz appliances requires EcoStruxure IT Gateway 2.1.1 or newer and the Gateway device library 3.1.0.14 or newer. 

    How to update the Gateway device library 

     

  • Rack Access Pods 170 and 175 are supported on NetBotz 750/755 only at this time.

     

  • Rack access control for NetBotz 4.x appliances is not supported.
