To reduce noise from device alarms that toggle repeatedly within a short timespan, Administrators can specify a device alarm clearing delay in Administration > Organization.
When a device alarm reoccurs within x minutes of the previous alarm clearing, the original alarm continues to be active. Subsequent alarms that reoccur within that timeframe are bundled into one alarm.
The default is 7 minutes. You can set the clearing delay between 0 (no delay) and 20 minutes.
July 2025
Administrators and Operator users with permissions for All locations can now select a location when discovering devices in IT Expert.
June 2025
Administrators and Operators with appropriate permissions can configure alarm severity policies for a specific location.
The policy will apply to all device alarms in the selected location and its sub-locations. If multiple policies are assigned at different levels of the location hierarchy, the policy closest to the device (lower in the hierarchy) takes precedence.
