Integrating EcoStruxure IT Expert and ServiceNow allows you to streamline IT operations, enhance efficiency, and effectively manage incidents within a single organization.
This guide provides an example EcoStruxure IT application to integrate with ServiceNow that polls data from IT Expert and creates incident tickets in ServiceNow based on incoming alarms.

You can now include up to 10,000 devices in CSV reports exported from the Devices page and the Services and Warranties > Service Contracts and Warranties pages.

Users who log in to IT Expert using SSO now appear in the list on the Administration > Users page.
Note: Since groups are designated by the Identity Provider, groups cannot be edited on the Users page in IT Expert. You can assign and unassign SSO users roles in IT Expert.
Administrators can add SSO users to the call priority contact list.
Go to the Devices page and click the arrow next to Contacts to drag and drop contacts in the list.
SSO users can now acknowledge alarms.

Administrators and Operators with the appropriate permissions can now create alarm threshold policies on numeric and state sensors on the Alarms > Threshold policies page.
Multiple threshold policies of the same sensor type are grouped by priority. Drag and drop to move policies in the list. The order determines which policy takes precedence when device sensors are in multiple policies.
Select target sensors and narrow by device type, manufacturer, model, sensor type and sensor name.
Configure hysteresis to reduce chattering from frequently occurring alarms. Visualize your settings in a graph.
New state sensor: Gateway Comm Status
To reduce the frequency of communication alarms for your monitored devices, create a threshold policy, choose the Gateway Comm Status sensor, and configure hysteresis as appropriate.
Update to Gateway version 1.23 is required.

You can now create, modify, or delete users on selected APC NMC 2 and NMC 3 devices with APC AOS v6.x or later (excluding v6.0.6-6.1.1).
Note: This feature requires that all the Gateways in your organization be updated to version 1.23 or newer.
You can modify user configurations on up to 500 devices at a time.
NMC 3 devices can accept no more than 11 parameters for each device including the username and password.

Administrators can now change the device name displayed in IT Expert for all monitored devices including the EcoStruxure IT Gateway.
Go to Devices. Select a device to change its name in the Actions section.
After you change the device name, its original name as it was discovered in the Gateway is displayed in the Properties section.
Gateway software updates do not affect changes made to device names in IT Expert.
Note: The option to change the name of the Gateway is no longer available from the Administration > Gateways tab.

Administrators and Operator users with the appropriate permissions can now configure event action settings in IT Expert for APC SNMP devices that use a config.ini file.
Note: Device configuration is not supported for monitored NMC 4 devices. There is no config.ini file on NMC 4 devices.

You can hover over a row or rack in the tree to zoom to it. or launch the floor editor from a row or the rack editor from a rack.

Improve inefficiencies through insight into the estimated Level 1 Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) of your physical infrastructure in the Sustainability assessment.
PUE and DCiE are calculated at the Room level only. Outgoing power from all the UPSs in the room is the indicator of IT load. Metrics are derived from devices and sensor values.
View the estimate per room over the last 365 days for locations with at least one room and at least one UPS.
Improve your estimate by providing information about the calculation factors that influence estimated efficiency.

IT Expert subscribers and trial users can now model rooms and racks using basic floor and rack editors in IT Expert.
Modeling in IT Expert uses the same Genome Library as IT Advisor.

The location hierarchy is now managed in Modeling, including create, edit, delete and move options for groups, sites, buildings, rooms, and devices.
Note: You can also move devices in the Devices option.
Racks and rows are no longer created in the location hierarchy. You now create rows and racks in the floor editor.
The Modeling option is available to all users to manage the location hierarchy. No other modeling features are available without a subscription, including assigning genomes to devices.
IT Expert has a new look that aligns with Schneider Electric software standards.

A Service and warranty coverage widget is now on the Dashboard.

A new Services and Warranties option in the left sidebar now has three tabs: Warranties, and two new tabs, Service contracts and Service visits.
Logged in users can view the devices for which they have Viewer permission or higher.
Service contract information is updated weekly from the Schneider Electric database.
Select a location and filter the device list to see an overview of services and covered device types, including services that are Active, Expiring within 90 days, Expiring within 30 days, Expired, or information is Unavailable.
Export a CSV report based on your location and filter selections.
Select a location and filter the list to see an overview of upcoming, ongoing, and completed service visits, and view and download reports when available.
Administrators and Operators with the appropriate permission can schedule and reschedule service visits for devices with an active service contract.
