Conversion of X70REAL to REAL
Hi,
My object is T_SPx70_REAL data type and I would like to use that object as an input to the FB. My problem is that FB input is set to REAL data type.
How to convert/modify data object so FB can use it?
Thanks
Arek

Hello Arek,
The T_SPx70_REAL data type includes multiple parameters (metadata), and cannot itself be used as an input or output of a function block. Instead you must use one of the parameters. In the Derived Variables list, find the object and click the [+] to its left. Scroll down to look at all of the parameters, and you will see one called VALUE. This is what must be used.
For example, if your T_SPx70_REAL object is called Tank_Level, the parameter you will use as the input to the function block will be Tank_Level.VALUE.
