Hello, thank you for taking time to read the post.
Context:
We have PowerLogic PowerTags across all LV panels. I need to fetch their data through Acti9 PowerTag Link over Modbus TCP for the real-time monitoring (5 sec interval) and recording data to cloud. I am using Highbyte to create the connections and initialize my data model. The concerned Acti9 PowerTag Link (A9XMWD20) is connected to 12 different energy sensors and 1 PowerTag Link Display. I need to read 23 registers from each energy sensor.
Problem:
Highbyte creates connections to the Acti9 PowerTag Link (10.13.5.20) for each energy sensor having a unique id (1, 3-13). However, for every request from Highbyte, there is always data missing from 4 random energy sensors. It seems as if PowerTag Link has a limitation to only have 8 connections open at a time? I tried to fetch the data from Node-Red as well but with same results.
Questions:
I am doubting if that's the right way to communicate with Acti9 PowerTag in the first place and the said operation can be achieved with just 1 connection alone? In the manual of PowerTag Link, it mentions (Modbus TCP connection: 8). But I'm skeptical of the fact that the Acti9 PowerTag Link can connect to 20 sensors inside the panel but is unable to transmit data over Modbus for all meters simultaneously. What is the workaround for this issue?
Kind regards,

Hi Ahmad,
Yes you are right.. we cannot make more than 8 Modbus TCP connection. In single Modbus TCP connection you can add all the 13 slave id queries. But I don't know how to configure it in highbyte .
Thanks,
