Unable make Telnet connection to ION8650

Hello SE support,

I am unable to make the telnet connection to a ION8650 meter, and got error message: "Could not open connection to the host, on port 23: Connect Failed."

check the comm module, can't see if telnet port is enable or not: 

firmware version: V4.40.1.

Please help check.

Hi @Liangchen1982 

For ION8650 meters with firmware V4.40.1or higher, Telnet and FTP protocols are no longer supported,
and you can login to the meter through SSH. For lower versions you can telnet to the meter.
