Yes, voltage and current can be configured to be recorded for short durations (based on event criteria) and then later retrieved using ION over the communications links.

Depending on your application requirements, you may choose to:

1. record instantaneous voltage and current in a Waveform Recorder

2. record one-cycle RMS every half-cycle in a Data Recorder (using a set of other helper modules to control trigger and enable logic)

Hello @NasseemIbrahim ,

This is a very loaded question, if you are asking if possible to get ms timestamps for the meter this could be possible, certain events are recorded with ms data for example sag/swell start and end times. The sag/swell log is triggered with disturbance end that has ms data.

If you are asking about module update rates, different modules have different update speeds. Most modules will update every second, some modules update every half cycle.

If you are asking about logging in the sub second rage, this gets tricky. While may be possible under certain conditions, do not recommend continuously logging at sub second intervals as there is a high chance of Flash ware.

If you are asking about response time this is even more loaded. The meter itself is a meter first with comms being a secondary task. If meter gets busy, may not respond to comms as fast as if meter is not busy. We cannot give a guaranteed response time.

Regards,

Charles

Dear @Charles_Murison

Many thanks for your below mail.

My question is related to the measured data like current and voltage. could I configure the ION7650 to record these value in ms time frame. and then I can export this reading.

Many thanks for your support

Hello @NasseemIbrahim

For short bursts you would be able to log some data but you would not be able to do this continuously. Data would be the RMS of the last cycle updated every half cycle.

Regards,

Charles
