Questions from a large customer

Hey Everyone,

We have a very large customer who have number of our meters (ION 7700, ION 7350, ION 7650) and have questions that I could not answers.  I am hoping this forum can help.

From the customer:

1. Ideas on password management (we have 1000s of meters and we need enterprise level solution)
2. On 7350 we found that we can change PT and CT ratios without password from the ION enterprise webpage.  Is this correct?
3. When is the EOL on 7650 meter and what would be a direct replacement for the 7650
4. Is there a retrofit kit for replacing ION7700 to replace with like metes without major effort.
5. What is the maximum number of concurrent SCADA connections for PM8244 and 7650 for communication over ION, DNP3, and Modbus protocol.

I can answer some of these questions:

We don't have the answer to this question yet. I will send you an email with our current plan.

The least effort is ION7650 TRAN version. If you do not need the transient capture you may use PM8000 without display.
