Would there be any reason that a PM5560 fails to update an IP address from the communications settings screen?
The PM5560 previously communicated with PME but now has IP address 255.255.255.255.
Upon IP address change and save, IP reverts back to 255.255.255.255.

Hi, Can you provide a link to the resolution, I have searched google for this but unfortunately, there is nothing to be found...

@Charles_Murison would you have a copy of the FAQ you are referring to, I don't think it's available online any more. We have a situation with a PM5560 meter where during the FW upgrade process it failed and the IP configuration is now IP Method: DHCP, IP Address: 255.255.255.255, Subnet:255.255.255.255, DNP3:Disbaled, MAC:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF:FF.
If the FAQ outlines how to re-establish a connection to the Meter to fix the issue that would be great.
Thanks,
Gavin

Hi Charles,
I have tried this potential resolution a few times but unfortunately, nothing has worked.
I have carried out further troubleshooting steps but nothing has worked. I have then gone back to the user manual for the PM5500 series and there is a piece in there regarding HW issues.
NOTE: A heartbeat LED that remains lit and does not blink (or flash) can indicate a
hardware problem
This was the case, as I could not detect any of the ethernet ports when connected, so it had to be a faulty piece of HW.
