PM5320 no Ping an no changes in ION Setup possible

Hello,

customer does have many PM5320 Meters. For the network team it is not possible to ping the devices.

PROBLEM 1: static ip address will only be applied after a power off - power on

PROBLEM 2: It is not possible to open ftp://IPAdress  or http://IPAdress

PROBLEM 3: Windows Explorer shows the device at network but the information is strange:

PROBLEM 4: in ION Setup it is not possible to set the ip adress because this point is not visible.

And it is not possible to change the serial parameter from odd to even

Please refer my comments below,

PROBLEM 1: static ip address will only be applied after a power off - power on

The static IP address will be stored once after configure the IP,sub net,Gateway. It does not required to power off. It may take some time (1 to 2 minutes) to stored the configuration depending on the network traffic.  

PROBLEM 2: It is not possible to open ftp://IPAdress  or http://IPAdress

PM5320 does not support HTTP or FTP protocol

PROBLEM 3: Windows Explorer shows the device at network but the information is strange:

This is know error ans escalated to product owner for fixing in the upcoming release.

PROBLEM 4: in ION Setup it is not possible to set the ip adress because this point is not visible.

And it is not possible to change the serial parameter from odd to even

PM5340 com link must be configured as Ethernet devices in ION setup and enter the IP address of device in insert device -> new device page. Serial parameters are applicable only for Serial RS485 devices.

-> we were waiting more than 2 minutes but it was not possible to connect, after a power off and on it works with several devices.

-->Please check and update this condition in one meter with a standalone system in same IP settings

-->PM53xx series meters can be upgrade the firmware using DLF3000 tool.

ION Setup is unable to program IP information as it is not readily available via Modbus.

As for the "Unable to gain device setup access" error dialog, this likely indicates someone has setup access via the front panel (or thru communications by obtaining the setup semaphore).
