PM5000 news - new features available in October

Hello everyone,

We are bringing some new exciting features with the next PM5000 firmware release, as well as solving an important issue found on the field:

QR codes - Scan your meter to get more insight into your electrical facility. Augmented metering information such as basic analytics (device mis-configuration, energy savings opportunities, etc) and richer representation of metering data (graphical log view)
32 bit Modbus energy register - Easier connection with 3rd party and legacy software applications

Both features will be available for all PM5000 references and meters current installed on the field can be upgraded. Keep in mind that we have a very long supply chain and that it might take some time until the meters with new firmware reach all countries. Firmware will be available for download here and at Schneider website by mid October.

We plan to keep bringing new features for this product line at least twice a year. Next release in Q1 2015 will bring gateway functionality and an improved firmware upgrade process using FTP (no need for DLF) for PM55x.

32 bit Modbus energy register - Easier connection with 3rd party and legacy software applications

This new feature can revive a project for us in lowering the integration costs for our customer.
