Very interesting feature! With the demo links, can you include screencaps of what they should look like? From the examples in the presentation, it looks like we should be seeing a historical graph, but the demo links only show a singel reading of PF, along with meter configuration info.

Thanks for the feedback Daniel. We will work to improve the power point with links to other type of information.

Brilliant feature Daniel. I've thought of QR codes as a possible useful tool for field service techs to direct them to a URL to download the manual for that device, is that there as well?
Adding the ability to dynamically generate the QR codes to deliver useful data and cross-selling opportunities, that's another level. Great stuff. Will this be on the PM8000 as well?

Thanks Erik! No, we don't have a QR code to direct people to a URL, but this is something we can look into in the future. For now it's a PM5000 only feature.

Hi Erik,
One thing to note is that Meter Insights (MeterInsights.Schneider-Electric.com) has links to the meter's documentation in the Help menu (once you register an account) which would certainly help field services; if you were to scan any of the meter's QR screens, you could then navigate to the help menu to find the documentation. We could possibly even add a QR code on the meter shipping boxes (or screen's protective film) in the future to drive people to the webservice before they even install the meter. Do you think that would be useful?

Hi Daniel
Here are a couple of links for you to try that show the historical log charting functionality:
Log of instantaneous parameter (Voltage for instance):
Log of accumulating parameter (Energy for instance):
Your feedback is welcome
Thanks

Thanks for sharing, Sam. Those look great. Didn't work in IE for me (IE9), but worked fine in Chrome. One thought - have you considered adding in some sort of checksum along with the data that's sent, so that the data can't be manipulated by the end user?

In the past, one of the issues with using QR codes to direct people to product documentation on the Schneider Electric website was finding the link that would be the same in 6 months. However, it seems that progress has been made on that front so hopefully we can investigate that possibility.

Maybe the QR code can link to a bit.ly address, which we can manage on our end, and change where it points to if/when the actual documentation link changes? Maybe we need a schneid.er rediect URL?
