Hi All,
Please advise me on the questions from many customers when we offer the Active Harmonic Filter PCS+:
- What is the purpose of the CTs installed in the Cap. Bank Bus? Is it an option or mandatory?
- A new customer who we offer to, as the attached picture. The question on the SLD of CTs connection is: What is the accuracy of current detection since the discrepancy of CT's amp. rate and Cap. Bank bus Breaker's amp. rate (5000A vs 2500A rates)?
I appreciate it if you kindly share the SE documents that have clarified the above-mentioned questions.
Thank you all in advance

Hello Mannguyen,
The purpose of the CTs installed in the Cap is to avoid resonance and potential high current damage Cap, improve PCSP's performance. Because Cap shows low impedance for harmonics and amplify harmonics. Measured source current by PCSP must subtract the current of Cap at load side, so the net of the CT signal does not include the CTs current.
The parameters of CTs(source, CAP) must keep align, for specific requirements, please refer installation guide(attached) an consult with local standard.

Thank you, @Yan_Zhang for your answer. I've carefully reviewed the NHA41798-2.pdf document and other relevant SE official documents, but I haven't found any specific information regarding the connection of Cap. bank bus' CTs for the PCS+.
I understand that we received this information during training courses, but unfortunately, our customers require an official SE document to approve the Technical Proposal we submitted for the PCS+ offers.
I would be grateful if you could clarify whether there is an official SE document that addresses the Cap. bank bus' current transformers installed for the PCS+. Thank you once again.

Thank you, @caimin_pan. I also recently received this CTs connection diagram from the local FSSE staff when he submitted it to our customer. Unfortunately, our customers require an official SE document like an Installation Manual or CT connection Guideline... for PCS+ with Cap. bank bus CT related... to approve the Technical Proposal we submitted for the PCS+ offers.
