Thanks Rob,
We would like to put our vote in for the following devices:
EM4800
MicroLogic Trip Units
NSX Breakers
If you need any further clarification, let me know.

I'm looking into at least add some type of support for the Micrologic Trip Units already (PowerPact Models A/P/H and something for the Masterpact) but am unfamiliar with the EM4800 and NSX Breakers.
Would you happen to have some documentation on the Modbus maps for those devices?
Would also help if I could get remote access to some of these as well.

Hi Robert,
EM4800 is a third party device supplied by Triacta and is equivalent of Triacta Power Hawk range. It would be great if we could have EM4800 configuration as well in ION Setup. Currently we use SE Metershop or a Schneider-ised version of Triacta tool and it is not very user friendly.
Also Compact NSX Micrologic and Micrologics for Compact NS and Masterpact share a lot of common registers too.
I am including the modbus list for both for your reference.
Looking forward to see if its possible to include those in it.

Hi Hastak,
Thanks for the information and when I get a chance I'll take a look at the map and see how easy it is to implement and check around if we have a EM4800 somewhere at Betram that I can try to interface to.

Just out of curious, what kind action/info you would like to do to MLTU and NSX breakers in ION Setup?
I normally only need to set up all communication parameters right from the front panel and they are good to go in the monitoring perspective. For NSX, I believe the only thing required is the modbus address, and the IFM module will auto-adapt to the RS485 baud rate and parity.
Except that, all other parameters are related to the protection settings (maybe data and time are common settings), and should be set up by the breaker guys rather than monitoring guys like myself. As far as I know, there ARE software (like RSU, LSU...) from other entity of Schneider to set these parameter up.
Anyway, my points is ION setup should NOT have the capability to mess up any protection parameters, they should be left alone to the specified existing software. Under this assumption, wonder what else ION setup can do with these trip units? Maybe sync the time and view the real time data?

I would like to see support for PM6. I currently have a customer that has migrated from SMS to PME. The migration has not been pretty and this is another blemish to the issues they have been suffering. Currently our documentation still refers to SMS and we have to tell them to use PMCU. They are not happy at all.

The lastest progress on PM6 can be found here Re: Needs PM600 meter support in ION Setup. I believe I put in this request when I first came off site from the customer you mentioned, we are making some progress, as the newest ION setup can set up basic parameters and on-board logs in PM6, but not the on-board alarms yet.
Regards,

PM600 alarm support should now be available in 3.0.14077.03 available on Box/FTP.
Its still very preliminary and there could be some issues still as I try to find available time to do further testing. Any issue(s) found, please report them directly to me via e-mail.

Also looked into supporting the EM4800 and it doesn't look like it supports device configuration via Modbus (the Triacta software tools seems to use some type of Telnet interface). Without any further documentation, it would be ill advised and time consuming to attempt to replicate that functionality and unless we want to add just viewing support, then it might just not be worth looking into this further.

Hi Robert,
I created my first knowledgebase article on the topic of device support in ION Setup here.
I will try to update it periodically as you release newer versions of the software.

SIM 10 modules would be useful.

I've never heard of SIM 10 modules (who manufactures them). Do they communicate Modbus? One could manually add a generic Modbus driver to an existing deployment using just Notepad (clue: Open some of the files found in the TABLES\Modbus\... subfolders using Notepad and you can figure out stuff fairly easily at least to view real-time info). But any added devices to the device list would need to have a sufficient use case to have me add primary support in the software.

Maybe a long shot but what about the PM9c (old PM meter) ?
We have sold many of these untill they became obsolete.

By the looks of the PDF you attached, these old circuit breakers only communicated using Sy/Max protocol (original SquareD protocol) which ION Setup presently doesn't communicate natively. If one of the gateway products like EGX or ComX has a Modbus TCP translator (like it does for the CM2xxx), then it might be feasible to add some of the registers in ION Setup for viewing (and/or you could set something up in PME using the MDI).
Being a protection device, I would hesitate in attempting to implement any type of configuration support in ION Setup due to the nature of the product (and likely complexity).

Robert:
Once the meter goes though a gateway this is translated to Modbus.
Thanks,
Michael

Hi ,
I have issue with configuration of the ION enterprise version 7.2.1 with new device of PM2120. there is a error message as " valid version "
I used following link for configuration
http://www.schneider-electric.co.in/en/download/document/PM2000_Series_SE_Driver_PME_7.2.2_ENG/
Please kindly informed me where i can find the ION enterprise version 7.2.1 driver to setup the above meter..
Best Regards,
Sandamali Gunathilaka

Hello Sandamali,
1) ION Setup and PME are 2 separate sofware
2) The driver name indicates that this supports PME 7.2 SP2, you will need to upgrade PME to 7.2.2 to use the driver. It is very likely there is no driver for PME 7.2.1
