Hi all,
We are increasingly getting requests for harmonic measurement beyond the 63rd harmonic. At least three separate customers in the last few months.
The most recent use case was specifically for the 100th harmonic which is apparently a key diagnoser for immanent feeder related faults for utilities.
Could I request that consideration be given to the upcoming ION9200 to have harmonics up to at least the 127th?
Thanks Richard

Richard,
Thank you for the request for harmonics above 63rd. Keep in mind that we provide harmonics through the 127th in PME for ION7650 and even PM8000. We are aware of the need to provide additional harmonic measurements directly in the meter - we have this on the roadmap, but no committed date at this time.

Hi James,
Thanks for the reply, trust you are keeping well...
If I may be candid, in my view it's time for everyone to drop that 'sales line' statement regarding Vista and harmonic analysis. Almost all of our customers use only the web client, even if they used the engineering client, the harmonic viewer is only from an analysis of the first cycle(s) of a waveform capture.
We cant automate off it, we cant log it, we cant alarm off it and to really do anything then we would need to capture a lot of waveforms. It really is not substitute for a meter parameter.
Just saying...
Richard
