Increase the size of data extracted from ION Setup

Hello, I have been testing the high speed reading module with an ION7650. The readings are given at correct intervals, however in ION Setup it only lets me extract 3000 data or readings. It is not a matter of storage capacity because I do a master reset to the equipment before starting the readings, I also edited the storage capacity of the "Hist mean log" up to 60000 data in ION Setup (I reduced the storage capacity of waveforms since I don't use them to be able to store more data in the "Hist mean log"). It seems to me that it is not an error of the meter but of the ability of ION Setup to display data, therefore my question is if there is the possibility of increasing the amount of data that ION Setup can display or some other way to be able to extract more data , since the readings are every 5ms, after 4 minutes I have almost 48000 data (theoretically).

I have tried readings at 5ms, 10ms, 15ms and 20ms. In all cases ION Setup only allows me to see 3000 data

Yes, the tables in ION Setup are configurable and 3000 rows is the default setting.

You must find the corresponding table configuration in your installation folder.

For a 7650 with a v4.1 template string, my installation of ION Setup will use this folder:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Schneider Electric\ION Setup\Tables\PML7650\Version 4.1 Default\Data Recorders"

The file you want to edit is "Historic Average.pml"

Try increasing the "ROWS" value (I'm not sure what the upper bound is, but be warned that results may take longer to show up with the larger setting)

Hello @danielbarrantes ,

I sent a direct message with suggestion. Please note that meter will only update values every 1/2 cycle, 10ms for a 50Hz system 8.33ms on 60Hz system. logging any faster than this will not give any additional information.

Regards,

Charles

hank you very much Charles. In my case, the ION7650 model is 512 samples per cycle, that is, that value goes from 8ms to 16ms?

Hello @danielbarrantes

No, the time range depends on the time for a single cycle, 50Hz, 1 cycle is 20ms, so 1/2 cycle is 10ms. In 60Hz system 1 cycle is 16.66666667ms so 1/2 cycle is 8.3333333333ms.

Regards,

Charles
