Hi,
Meter Model - ION9000
Connection - 4W - Wye
PT Ration - 400/110 (LV system)
For configuring ION9000 meter - PT Ratio & Nominal Voltage, whether i need to provide L-L voltage or L-N voltage.
Also share any document suggesting the above.
Regards,
Aravind

Hi,
please see: https://www.se.com/ww/en/faqs/FA243523/
I am pretty sure this applies also to ION9000.
Best regards

Hello @sesa356640 and @Szymon_Hochół ,
With the ION9000 there is a newer setup register that can force the Sag/swell module to use the VLL inputs "Use Vll Always". If this setting is used, the VLL should be used as nominal. Note that the nominal voltage is also used in a few other places.
If not using this setting, then the details in the KB apply.

Charles

Hi,
ION9000T in a 230 IT system.
When not using a voltage transformer, (direct voltage connection to the meter) do I set: PT primary 1 and :PT secondary: 1 or PT primary: 230 /PT secondary: 230.
Thinking if there is any consequenses in the PQ reporting etc?

Hello @geir_eas_no_bfo ,
Both ratios will work. You may get some warnings from ION Setup about Nominal voltage vs PT primary but these are just warnings.
Personally I prefer to use 230:230, this way it is always obvious to any user what the expected voltage of the system will be.

ok, tanx 🙂
btw:
I`m not getting any "voltage spikes" on the ION9000T, ( could be a healty installation)
Not sure if want to adjust Power Quality transient logging, other than default. But could this be related to the the waveform format?
default it is 512x4.
What do you recomend 1024x2 or 512x4 ?
sag/swell settings are learned limits: 110% / 98%

Hello @geir_eas_no_bfo ,
To start the ION9000 has 2 different transient detection, first is what the ION9000 (no T) has. This is configured with the Transient module linked to Waveform recorder modules. The second is a high speed transient (only on ION9000T), this is configured with the HSTC module and linked to HSTC waveform recorder modules.
Not seeing transients could be a health system or could be event priority is too low to generate an event, or could be module is disabled or settings are such that module is off line or settings ignore transient inside threshold. If you do not know know how to check these, please contact your local technical support.
The waveform recorder modules are independent to the module that triggers the waveform recorder. The format will have no baring on weather or not meter will trigger a waveform record pulse.
I cannot give a recommendation as it will always be dependent on end user needs. 1024x2 is highest sampling rate but short duration, 512x4 has longer duration but at a cost of less resolution.
Sag swell module and Transient modules are different modules and independent from each other.

Charles
