Looking at https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_enDocType=User+guide&p_File_Name=7EN22-0123-03_DLMS-... strongly suggests only data recorder modules are able to be linked to the DLMS modules.
Certain events in the event log are mapped to the status field (starting page 4). Theses are hard coded and cannot be changed.
On a side note, may want to post this ni the metering section.

Hi Yut,
As the protocol is read-only, there is no security offered on the DLMS implementation that will require the user for login/password, regardless of the meters security setting.

Sanjeet

Just now I got question from the utility here in Thailand (there are 3) about the event log.
In the past one thing among many that they are happy with the ION8800 in the way that the event log logged every important event into the event logger this help them very much in trouble shooting.
Since the three utility agree to use DLMS for the billing (one utility sell power to other two) they want this event log as well as other like 15 min. Demand 15 min. Revenue daily energy Monthly energy (our customer do customize ION meter since the time of ION8400/8500/8600),
The most important thing the new specification for new Revenue meter will include the event log in DLMS too.
See if we can do something. Now we send one unit of the ION8800 to the utiity for testing DLMS.

Hi Yut,
As was mentioned previously, certain events are captured and can be enabled in the two default DLMS Export Modules that are already created. This will give you the basic events (Time change, Power Up/Down, and Master Reset events). However, anything beyond that can be actually customized in the framework. For instance you can use Setpoints for Sags/Swells, phase loss and other events that can be sent via DLMS. These can be recorded into a datarecorder and mapped to DLMS objects using the DLMS Export Module. Note that most of the events have predetermined OBIS codes as defined by the DLMS books, so it would be good to know which events are needed to be tracked.
Best Regards,
Sanjeet

Thank you Sanjeet.
Some events those were frequently used in trouble shooting are ;-
- Power up/down indicated loss of power, there were sometime gab in revenue log occurred utility had to find out what happened.
- Time changed indicated that time of meter changed, this effected the revenue reading the utility have to do correction or compensated to final billing.
The meter frame work was modified to suit utility calculation which use integrator as base of calculation we did convert watt-hour pulse into pulses per second then accumulate to kWh every 1 sec. then we did calculate the demand from kWh interval. The calculation is very much sensitive to clock.
- Other events like battery low, someone press button at the front of meter, set point that show loss of input from PT also recorded.
I will review the DLMS then do experiment using data recorder module.

Please take a look at the 7EN22-0123-04 07/2019
Association LN - 0-0:40.0.0*255
SAP Assignment - 0-0:41.0.0*255

I think the LN use . instead of " am I right ?

Another question again from customer concerning default COSEM object.
If the default data recorders were modify the default COSEM object still valid ?
The case of ION8800C model (4 data recorder V370)which has limited data recorder our customer had modified to record more items both Revenue Log and Energy Demand log.

Hello @Yut
Are you referring to the OBIS Code for each source of the data recorder?
If so, this code is defined in the setup registers of the DLMS Log Expoert module so these can be updated to reflect any changes made to the data recorder. 7EN02-0290-11 page 188.

I mean the default COMSEM object in the manual for example the load profile data are kWh del int kWh rec int kVarh del int and kVarh rec int four of these data are from Revenue Log we have plan to modify this Log to record other parameters in 15 min. interval since it was default how can we assign more OBIS code for the addition parameter?

Hello Yut,
I don't think I understand the problem you are asking about. The example in ION reference is an example, it is not set in stone, this is a customer configurable setup register (16 setup registers to match the 16 possible inputs to the data recorder). You can type any desired code for any desired register. The code entered into this setup register needs to match the register in the data recorder. I do not know the codes for every register but I believe they are defined in the protocol itself.

Charles

Dear Charles,
From your sentence "The example in ION reference is an example, it is not set in stone," we do experiment with the utility then success in export any data recorder they want.
Now the utility turn over the ION8800 meter to the software developer who is developing AMR/Billing software to the utility.
There is a question ask about the security, does the security option be applied to DLMS ? In security option module there is no explanation on DLMS when we test the protocol with 3rd party software we always set security to NONE without user and password. If there is anything else about security please advice.

All of your support help us a lot for future market here in Thailand.
We had been success to fulfill the Thailand utility requirement in DLMS and IEC61850 protocol on one ION8800 meter.

We come back to DLMS again. We experiment with the events, the Event Log cannot be linked to the DLMS export module the status of event is record in the second field of the record we did enable the status it show some in the record from recorder linked to the Periodic timer module example 15 minutes demand in the picture. 192 is power up 32 is time changed.
For data recorder that did not link to periodic timer the status field show error 65535 example of 1 minute demand connect to clock module CL1 New Minute.
Another problem is the event occurs randomly if it is recorded at the recorder like this we will not be able to analyze the event with data.
Is there any solution to get event log just like the ION protocol ?

Hello Yut,
First, the status field showing 65535 when the data recorder is not linked to a periodic timer module is expected behavior.
Second, as described by Sanjeet before
"Certain events are captured and can be enabled in the two default DLMS Export Modules that are already created. This will give you the basic events (Time change, Power Up/Down, and Master Reset events). However, anything beyond that can be actually customized in the framework. Note that most of the events have predetermined OBIS codes as defined by the DLMS books, so it would be good to know which events are needed to be tracked."
So it may be possible to configure a framework to latch an alarm until the value is saved in a data recorder, then link this data recorder to DLMS export module. You cannot get the event log via DLMS.

Dear Charles,
"Note that most of the events have predetermined OBIS codes as defined by the DLMS books, " This make me happy dealing with the utility it's up to the software developer to deal with it.
The predetermined events are the ones they are tracking but it did not come with exact timestamps (or it might be with timestamp but didn't show with GURUx ). There still another custom alarm setting which be can do as per your recommendation.
Thank you very much I will relay this to the utility also do experiment.

Another experiment on LN 0.0.97.97.0.255 status.
How can we read this LN what type of object should be use ? I try Data as well as Register both response this as Ch. 0 Error object #1 but when issue read command nothing be read.

Thank you.
The utility concluded yesterday to go on with what feature is in ION8800 at least they can tailor the software to get the default event code on the 2rd field LN 0.0.97.97.0.255.
