ION8650 Meter Time Issue

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out because we’ve encountered an issue with an ION8650 meter where the time has unexpectedly changed. Upon reviewing the event log, we noticed that this problem is related to the Sample TOU. However, the meter does not have any TOU configuration set up.

We’re concerned that this issue might happen again and would really appreciate any insights or suggestions you might have to help us understand and resolve it.

For your reference, I’ve attached the event log and the meter configuration report.

The TOU had nothing to do with the time change on the meter. If you look at the details, the time Change came from COM4, witch is set to ION protocol. Something or someone sent a time change to the meter via the Com4 Serial port.
