Hi
Will an 7330 or 7350 Framework work in the PM8000?
Suppose a customer typically orders a 7330 with an AA### suffix (P7330A0B0B0M1A0A-AA150). Would Victoria be able to handle the order if it was METSEPM8240-AA150?

In general, it depends on the framework. There are differences in the ION modules between the ION73x0 meters and the PM8000. For example, I know of one case, that once the function of the AA code was known, it was realized that the desired function already existed in the PM8000.
To respond specifically to the given example, however, the answer is no. But not because of the AA code, but because the requested meter has a modem, which is not available in the PM8000. If the customer was willing to accept a separate modem, we could explore the possibility of the PM8000 with an AA code.

I suspect that a new AA code will need to be created for the PM8000. The question should probably be directed to Victoria Order Services (Victoria Order Services EM/Canada/Schneider) for clarification as GSC isn't active on this forum.

Also most of our software isn't designed to allow for cross platform pasting of templates. It is likely a requirement that the customer would need to submit a new custom PM8000 template which they themselves must provide in order to allow the factory to paste it in. This might require them to try and paste their previous 73xx framework using ION Designer and resolving any issues themselves and then using ION Setup to upload a new DCF to submit.
