ION 7650 Meter

Hello Experts,

Please how do I configure an ION7650 to trip a CB at the threshold of Power rating?

At a certain threshold I desire the ION7650 to send a trip signal to open a Circuit Breaker.

Also I need the latest version of the ion setup software.

Thanks

Q1 & Q2. How do I configure an ION7650 to trip a CB at the threshold of Power rating? At a certain threshold I desire the ION7650 to send a trip signal to open a Circuit Breaker.

>> Please follow the below steps;

  1. Add the desired meter in ION Setup.
  2. Select the meter and do left click on it while the Ctrl button is pressed to open up advanced setup menu.
  3. Double click on Setpoint module on left side panel.
  4. Right click on right side panel empty area and click on Insert Module. It will create a new module. Please setup this module as per your requirement. This module's output will be used to generate trip command.
  5. Now again do select the meter and do left click on it while the Ctrl button is pressed to bring back basic setup page.
  6. double click on setup assistant.
  7. Select Onboard I/O
  8. Select Digital output.
  9. Select the desired channel (R1,R2,R3,D1,D2,D3,D4,) and configure it. Link the source from the setpoint module that you have created and the port to be used.

I have created similar functionality for kVA. Please see below the screen shots for your reference.

If you would like more information on the Setpoint module and its settings, it is described in the ION Reference. You can download the ION Reference from the following link:

You can get the latest version of ION Setup from the following link on Box:

https://schneider-electric.app.box.com/ionsetuplatest

If you are still working on Windows XP, we make a version for now that still works on that operating system:

https://schneider-electric.app.box.com/ionsetupforXP

Since ION Setup is constantly being updated, it isn't practically to keep updating the ones located on the standard =S= or PowerLogic web sites by myself.
