How to disable the factory alarm setup?

There have 24 alarm setup in the meter front panel and 15 items can be disabled by to switch the control object from the meter default dgm on VISTA.

Can not find the control object to Enable/Disable the 4-30 Volt Intrp Ph1/2/3 at the meter default dgm but a "4-30 Enable" ext bool module has already in the meter default framework, user can Enable/Disable the "4-30 Volt Intrp" alarm by add a control object to the meter dgm and link to that ext bool module.

Still having 8 alarm setup items could not disable and no any exists ext bool module for those alarm setup.

Check the alarming configurations in the Designer and those alarm are created in either setpoint or relative setpoint modules but "Enable" input were empty.

How to disable the alarms as shown like the below pictures?

You are right that those 8 setpoint modules don't have their Enable input linked and therefore can't be disabled.  We can look into adding enable links to them in the factory framework.  Meanwhile, you can add a Ext Pulse module to the PM8000 framework to disable all these 8 setpoint modules but you will have to do it for each PM8000 you have.  How many PM8000s do you have?

There are 2 job site, each job site have around 160 PM8000 installed.

Client wants to disable all the alarm setup items except the voltage sag/swell alarm and DI alarm.

Can you tell us what are the factory default label/register name for that 8 check box objects at meter alarm setup page ?

I looked into it again.  You can actually disable those alarms in ION Setup.

1. Open your meter in ION Setup

2. Select and edit an alarm

3. Check the Force Off option and Save

4 Force Off disables the alarm

Here are the 8 alarms you need to disable but unfortunately you will have to disable each of them on each of your PM8000:

Is there a particular reason the customer wants to disable all these alarms?

I was doing the same thing as your mentioned.

Is possible to consider to implement that within next firmware release and to have the ability to edit or remove factory display pages on PM8K?

That was due to the front panel fault led will blinking when the alarm appears, if we can having the function to ack the alarms from remote i.e. Vista page. The fault led blinking is troubled to their operator.

Do you know that you can acknowledge alarms on the meter itself?

Default alarm is very annoying to the new install site there is no voltage at line input those meters kept on alarming.

I have answered many customer who kept asking until I have change to connect them to network then it was the time to disable them all. Hope next shipment all of the factory default alarm would be off.
