What kind of solution to measuring power consumption in a rack do you guys use?
im looking at several solutions but using a PDU with metering seems so expensive that it kind eats any gains from billing the customer for what they use instead of just reading the nameplate and estimating a percentage from that.

Hi @rambo007
For measuring power consumption in a datacenter rack, using rack-mounted power distribution units (PDUs) or rack-mounted power meters are recommended.
The HDPM6000, which is modular and can be easily integrated into any data center or building management information system, is one of the offers which features a distributed architecture that meets data center requirements in an all-in-one solution.
Using Estimation Tools(that I am not familiar with) based on nameplate data and historical usage patterns might be a temporary solution, but exploring rack power meters might be a good starting point potentially offsetting costs.
I would recommend contacting your local sales team who are handling these requests and can provide the best offer and solutions.
