Hello, I would like to open a case that happen when editing the analog values of a DNP map for an ION7550. When selecting a deadband of 5 or 1 instead of 10, for example, for each of the voltages seen in the attached image, an error appears indicating that I am requiring the use of too many modules and does not allow me to continue modifying the deadband. I would like to know if there is a correct configuration for this and to be able to avoid this error that appears or in any case if there is any recommendation or manual that we can follow to enable the DNP 3.0 protocol in ION meters. Greetings.

Hello @danielbarrantes ,
Need to take a step back and understand what ION Setup is trying to do. The DNP Slave Export Module has a maximum of 4 inputs. The setup registers, static object, event object, event class, scaling and others apply to all four inputs. Therefore if points next to each other have different scaling, 2 different DNP slave export modules would be needed. If you repeat this enough times you could end up with a configuration where almost all measurements use a different slave module. ION7550 meter support a maximum of 25 DNP slave export modules. If you are able to arrange measurement point maps where the same event class, scaling etc. are next to each others, you may be able to have the same number of measurements but with less DNP slave modules used.
Refer to ION reference for all of the setup registers used in the DNP slave export module. Note that not all ION meters support all registers.
Regards,
Charles
