Connecting ION7650 with RS485 liaison

Hi All,

Is it possible to connect an ION7650 ( without Ethernet port ) to the server ( PME 7.2 ) with RS485 liaison for a long distance ( less than 1000 meters) ? if so, this ION7650 will be able to communicate in ION protocole ?

Need your help on this.

Quite an old question but I will answer. Yes you can the max. distance for RS-485 is 1000 meters but you might have to adjust some communication parameters a bit.
